Full name: 60 Minutes to Fill--The Quest for Tape
For reasons that I will never understand a man named Marc Weiner decided to "clean up" my masterwork. His version includes many tiny edits that might "tighten up" the piece a little but also deprive the listened of my signature bad edits. I don't understand the need for some of the edits, which were apparently intended to make me a less-bad radio announcer. I am a bad radio announcer. Always have been. Always will be. If I had known this was going to be tampered with I would've recorded bits correcting the handful of factual errors in the original, which have now carried over. Finally, three or four minutes of material have been added, which means that a like amount of content has been removed. I can't tell exactly what was removed based on an initial listen, but I'm sure every second of it was really, really important.
From now on the older version of this will be known as the "director's cut".
